Description
Excerpted from "Journey to the West," one of the Four Great Classic Novels in Chinese literature, comes the supernatural adventure story of the Monkey God. 500 years after being imprisoned by the Buddha, Sun Wukong, the Monkey God, has been freed. The Bodhisattva Guanyin (a Buddhist who has reached Enlightenment) is on a pilgrimage from China to India to retrieve an ancient Buddhist text, and has enlisted Sun Wukong to protect him on his journey in exchange for his freedom. Guanyin's safety on the journey will be under constant threat from bandits, demons, and other supernatural beings.
