Notes

Description
Following a deathbed plea by his wife, Sir Cecil Lawton seeks the help of Maisie Dobbs, psychologist and investigator. Never having accepted that her aviator son was killed in World War I, Agnes Lawton made her husband promise that he would discover the truth. Maisie accepts the assignment and finds her spiritual strength tested, as well as her regard for her mentor, Maurice Blanche. It's an assignment that will put her in grave danger and return her to the site of her most painful WWI memories.
