When he finds a lost beagle in the hills behind his West Virginia home, Marty tries to hide it from his family and the dog's real owner, a mean-spirited man known to shoot deer out of season and to mistreat his dogs.

Two family films about a remarkable beagle named Shiloh who is rescued from an abusive owner by Marty, but it's Shiloh who teaches Marty about kindness and forgiveness when he heroically saves the life of the man who mistreated him.
